Kate Moss Will Testify in Johnny Depp, Amber Heard Trial
According to sources familiar with the situation, the British fashion icon, Kate Moss will testify via video link in a courtroom in Fairfax, Virginia, on Wednesday.
Heard referred to an allegation that Depp pushed Moss down a flight of stairs during their relationship in the 1990s, however, Moss has never accused Depp of being violent during their time together.
By bringing Moss as part of its rebuttal case, Depp’s legal team might try to use her testimony to undercut Heard’s credibility and, potentially, give another narrative about how he has handled romantic partners.
Moss was not expected to appear at first since the supposed staircase incident had nothing to do with a specific complaint in the Virginia case. According to analysts, Heard’s reference to the model prepared the path for Depp’s team to summon her to testify.
