Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moose Wala Shot Dead Day After Security Withdrawn. On Sunday, Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala was shot and killed in Jawaharke village in Mansa district. This follows a day after the Punjab Police withdrew the security of 424 people, including Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Goldy Brar, a Canadian criminal, has claimed responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. In a Facebook post, Brar, who has ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, said he killed Moose Wala to avenge the killing of mobster Vicky Middukhera.
Lawrence Bishnoi, a close acquaintance of Goldy Brar who is being held at Tihar Jail number 8, is being remanded by Punjab Police. In connection with the shooting, he will be questioned. An FIR has been filed under sections 302, 307, 341, 148, 149, 427, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, as well as sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, based on a complaint filed by Moose Wala’s father.
According to Punjab Police Chief Viresh Kumar Bhawra, the 28-year-old singer, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was shot and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to sources, the suspect apprehended today in Dehradun is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has claimed responsibility for the singer’s murder.

According to media reports from last year, Goldy Brar orchestrated the murder with the help of imprisoned gangster Bishnoi to avenge the murder of his cousin Gurlal Brar.

Mika Singh Wants Punjab Govt To Take Strict Action
Mika Singh wants Punjab government to take strict action against Sidhu Moosewala’s killers. On Sunday, Singer Mika Singh shared an image of himself with the late singer, as he paid condolences to his family on Twitter. Mika shared a streak of tweets, in the first tweet he wrote, “I always say I’m proud to be Punjabi but today I feel shame to be saying the same. A young talented boy just 28 years old, so popular and with such a bright future ahead of him @iSidhuMooseWala killed in Punjab by Punjabi`s. May God bless his soul and he rest in eternal peace.”
According to Punjab Director General of Police VK Bhawra, Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder appeared to be the result of an inter-gang feud. He went on to say that 30 rounds of ammunition were fired at the singer, and that at least three weapons were possibly used in the crime.
Sidhu Moose Wala ran for Punjab assembly in this year’s election on a Congress ticket from Mansa but was defeated by AAP candidate Vijay Singla by 63,000 votes. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently fired Vijay Singla over allegations of corruption. Sidhu Moose Wala sparked controversy last month when his song “Scapegoat” targeted the Aam Aadmi Party and its supporters. In his song, the singer called AAP supporters “gaddar” (traitor).
Following the incident, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa demanded an FIR against Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann over “negligence of chief ministerial duties”.
“We have been warning the Punjab Government to pay attention to Punjab’s situation. I demand an FIR against Bhagwant Mann for the negligence of his Chief Ministerial duties which has cost the life of Sidhu Moosewala. Bhagwant Mann along with Arvind Kejriwal should be booked,” Manjinder Singh Sirsa said.
